About Chhatrapati Award: After introduction of Arjuna Award by Govt. of India, Maharashtr'a Sports Department started honoring Maharashtra's top Sportsman and Sportswomen who had made Maharashtra and India proud with their performances at the National and International Level by giving them "Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award" from the year 1969-70. Its the highest Sport Award given by the Government of Maharashtra.

2001-02 Madhuri Gurnule Nagpur 5000m, 10000m run, Cross Country Represented India in World Cross Country Championship for 3 times. Winner of 5000/10000m of two successive National games at Ludhiyana'01 and Hyderabad,02
2002-03 Swati Gurnule Nagpur 1500m Represented Maharashtra in Senior National, Open National, National games and had secured medals.
Sarita Patil Sangli High Jump Represented Maharashtra in national games, Open National, Inter-state in High jump and had won medals too . Her PB is 1.73m
Jagannath Lakade Pune 10000m Represented India in 14th Asian Track and Field Championship in Colombo and secured Bronze medal in 10000m run. 
Vijaya Sonawane Nagpur Cross Country Represented India in the Asian Cross Country Championship at Kathmandu and had secured second position. She has represented Maharashtra in many nationals.
