Mumbai 21 Dec 2003: Chirag Patel and Karen Mistry were adjudged the best boy and girl athlete of the 110th MSSA-COLGATE MUMBAI INTERSCHOOL ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIP concluded here at the University Sports Ground. Ex-Sheriff of Mumbai Shri. K. Shantaram gave away the prizes to the winners.
Earlier Karen Mistry improved her own record in the Girls under 8 years 100m run with 15.9s. Karen won the race with a huge margin of more than 2 sec. Aman Singh of Children's Academy ,Kandivali breasted the finish line with a new meet record of 12.1s in the boys under 14 years 100m run.
Mumbai 20 Dec 2003: Disha Patel of St. Agnes High School created the New Meet Record in the Girls under 14 years High Jump with a height of 1.43m. while Karen Mistry brought another record to her belt by clocking 8.3s (8.2s in heats) in the Girls under 8 years 50m run here at the 4th day of MSSA-COLGATE Mumbai Interschool Athletic Championship.
Disha who has been selected to represent Maharashtra in the triathlon event immediately moved to Quilon to attend National Junior Athletic Championship.
Mumbai 20 Dec 2003: Bhakti Gala of
Shrin Dinyar Irani School, Dahanu created the New Meet Record in
the Girls under 14 years Shot Put event with a throw of 8.77m. on
the 3rd day of the MSSA Interschool Athletic Championship 2003
here at the university sports ground.
Chirag Patel of RN Shab School, juhu cleared the height of 1.45m
to create the New meet Record in the Boys under 12 years High Jump
Event.
Mumbai 12 Dec 2003: More than 2000
athletes from 130 schools had confirmed their entries in the 110th
MSSA-COLGATE ANNUAL INTER SCHOOL ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIP. Talking to
Bombay Athletics online Samson Sequiera, athletic secretary of
MSSA said this year entries had surpassed the previous record of
2043 entries. Championship will start with elimination round on
Dec 17 & 18, 2003 at the MSSA Ground. Best 12 qualifiers will
be seen in action at the university sports ground from 19th Dec
2003.
